1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your engagement of services provided by Coastline Renovations & Refresh (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 By accepting a quote, engaging our services, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

2.1 We provide residential renovation, carpentry and property improvement services including, but not limited to:
a) Kitchen renovations and upgrades
b) Bathroom renovations
c) Interior renovations and fit-out works
d) Structural and non-structural building works (where applicable)
e) Custom cabinetry and joinery
f) Carpentry installation and finishing works
g) Flooring installation
h) Property preparation and finishing works (where required)
i) Other agreed scope items

2.2 Services are carried out at residential and selected commercial properties across the Gold Coast region.

2.3 The exact scope of works will be clearly defined in a written quote or agreement provided to the client.

3. Quotes & Acceptance
3.1 Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
3.2 A quote is deemed accepted when the client:
a) Approves the quote in writing
b) Pays any required deposit
c) Confirms acceptance via email, message or other written communication

3.3 We reserve the right to amend or withdraw quotes where circumstances change prior to acceptance.

4. Booking & Scheduling
4.1 Works will be scheduled following acceptance of the quote and receipt of any required deposit.
4.2 Timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by weather, labour availability, supply delays, site conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Fees & Payments

5.1 A deposit may be required prior to commencement of works.

5.2 A design and planning fee may be required prior to commencing design, layout work or detailed quotations. This fee may be credited toward the project if the client proceeds.

5.3 Progress payments may be required for larger projects, as outlined in the quotation or agreement.

5.4 For kitchen renovations and custom cabinetry, full payment for cabinetry is required prior to manufacture or when the order is placed into production.

5.5 Final payment is due upon completion of works, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5.6 Payments may be made via cash, EFT, bank transfer or other approved methods.

5.7 Overdue accounts may incur interest, administrative and recovery costs.

6. Client Responsibilities
6.1 The client must provide accurate property information and reasonable access to the site.
6.2 The work area must be clear of personal items and obstructions prior to commencement.
6.3 Delays caused by restricted access or site conditions may result in additional costs.
6.4 The client is responsible for ensuring any required approvals (including council or building approvals) are obtained prior to commencement where applicable.

7. Changes & Variations
7.1 Any changes to the agreed scope of works after acceptance may result in a variation.
7.2 Variations include, but are not limited to:
a) Changes to materials, finishes or design
b) Additional works not included in the original scope
c) Site conditions differing from what was reasonably visible or disclosed
d) Client-requested upgrades or modifications during the project

7.3 Variations will be priced and submitted for approval prior to proceeding where reasonably possible.
7.4 Where urgent work is required to maintain project progress, variations may proceed and will be documented and charged accordingly.
7.5 Variations may impact both project cost and completion timeframe.

8. Liability & Warranty
8.1 We warrant that all services will be carried out with reasonable skill, care and in accordance with applicable standards.
8.2 Statutory warranties under Queensland legislation apply to relevant building work.
8.3 To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the services provided.
8.4 We are not liable for indirect, consequential or financial losses, including loss of income.
8.5 The client must inspect completed works and notify us of any defects within 5 business days.

9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All content including text, images, branding and designs remains the property of Coastline Renovations & Refresh.
9.2 No content may be reproduced without prior written consent.

10. Privacy
10.1 Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10.2 By engaging our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information for service delivery and legal compliance.

11. Website Usage
11.1 Use of this website is at your own risk.
11.2 We do not guarantee that website content is accurate, complete or up to date.
11.3 Website content may be updated or changed at any time without notice.

12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good faith negotiation prior to legal action.

13.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

14. Changes to Terms
14.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
14.2 Updated versions will be published on this website with a revised effective date.

15.1 Coastline Renovations & Refresh is operated by Joseph Kitchin, QBCC Licensed Builder (Low Rise).

15.3 We undertake residential renovation, carpentry and building work in accordance with Queensland legislation.
15.4 This includes both structural and non-structural work where applicable and approved.
15.5 Where required, licensed trades (including electrical and plumbing) will be carried out by appropriately licensed contractors engaged and managed as part of the project.
15.6 Where building approvals or permits are required, clients will be advised prior to commencement.
15.7 All works are completed in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and industry standards.
